Under the Fiji Enterprise Engine (FEE) - i was tasked with developing and delivering effective and engaging coaching session on the following key areas:

• Financial Education & Training: Provide coaching on financial literacy, empowering business owners and teams to understand financial principles and make informed decisions.
• Cash Flow Management: Advise on optimizing cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operations and growth.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Guide MSMEs in preparing accurate budgets and financial forecasts for better decision-making.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Assist in developing clear and concise financial reports and provide insights to drive performance improvements.
• Cost Management: Identify areas to reduce costs and improve profitability through effective financial controls.
• Profitability Optimization: Advise on strategies to enhance revenue generation and manage expenses to boost profit margins.
• Access to Funding: Guide MSMEs on accessing funding options, including loans, grants, or investor funding.

• Develop and deliver training to IPMU on ADB and EIB loan disbursement, withdrawal application and accounting procedures annually
• At least conducted conducted 1 accounting training sessions (when needed) on accounting policies and financial policies on a monthly basis
• Preparation of project budget and project financial statements annually
• Prepare quarterly and annual disbursement projections
• Assessment of consultants and civil works contractors claim and related claim management
• Verify contractors' / consultants' invoices, collect supporting document's and verify interim payment certificates (>150)
• Ensure timely submission of project financial report to WAF IPMU and Ministry of Economy including cashflows and projected budgeted requirements
• Coordinate project finance audit and submission of audited financial statements to Government of Fiji, Asian Development Bank and European Investment Bank

• Supervise teams of junior auditors, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
• Develop audit plans, assess client risks, and design audit procedures to evaluate financial statements, internal controls, and accounting processes
• Review and analyze financial statements to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (IFRS, IFRS for SME's etc)
• Maintain regular communication (at least daily via email, phone or online meetings or face to face) with clients to address queries, manage expectations, and provide value-added insights into improving their financial and operational processes
• Identify key audit issues, risks, and areas for improvement, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management and clients
• Reviewed audit workpapers, ensuring thorough documentation and compliance with internal audit policies
• Collaborated with senior managers and partners to resolve complex audit issues and support business development efforts
• On average, was involved with at least 12 engagements per year.
