• I would describe myself as a dynamic and resourceful professional with a strong foundation in political research and analysis. I possess exceptional communication skills and have years of experience as a News Reporter with The Fiji Times. My multilingual capabilities add a new dimension to my problem-solving abilities and make me a confident public speaker and proficient communicator. I am a dedicated student with excellent study skills and a strong academic record. I endeavour to apply my comprehensive education and personal skills in communication and organisation to all tasks I am faced with. I have the ability to build rapport quickly with people from diverse backgrounds. As an International student in India, I spent many years in the company of people from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds and made many lifelong aquaintances. We Fijian students also hosted and took care of African and Afghani students for a few semesters or even years at a time when they faced financial difficulties and had no one to assist them. I am also an experienced tutor with a background in creating tailored individual learning plans to target client subject weaknesses and develop skills. I have a proven track record in setting clear targets and delivering constructive feedback to help students achieve goals.

• Avid supporter and campaigner for academic excellence among young people in primary and secondary school as well as those who are in tertiary level. I like to study and get good marks and I'm interested in sharing strategies and methods about effective studying with other like-minded people. I strongly believe that young people in Fiji have yet to truly tap into their academic potential and that they need to hear the right rhetoric from those in charge and that they need to be exposed to tailor made propaganda emanating from the Ministry of Education and their parents and other stakeholders regarding this issue of academic excellence.
