International Project Coordinator

AUSTRALIAN VOLUNTEERS INTERNATIONAL
  • Company Overview: AVI works within the Plan International Consortium in Fiji and Solomon Islands for the Disaster READY Program implemented through the Australian Humanitarian Partnership. AVI's main role in the consortium is to strengthen the capacity of all consortium partners.
  • As the International Project Coordinator, it is my responsibility to engage the partners in both countries in ongoing capacity assessment and implement capacity strengthening activities as needed guided by the principle of localisation.
  • I support the Probono Collaborative project as well which is a project run in collaboration with SPC and Fiji Law Society that provide pro bono (unpaid) legal support to meet the unmet legal needs of local partners working at the forefront of the climate crisis in select Pacific Island Countries
  • In January this year, I was asked to take on higher duties with AVI Pacific People which includes finance and administration.
